Women in Evolution
ICTP lecture in Darwin series focusses on our female ancestors
ICTP Assistant Director Claudio Tuniz, an expert in geochronology, will deliver a seminar on how the famous fossil discovery of "Lucy" and other women gives clues to their evolution. His talk will include a look at how the evolution of humans to walk upright affected childbirth, and will also feature a look at the development of early clothing.
The seminar is part of the “Oh my Darwin” lecture series and exhibition hosted by Trieste's Immaginario Scientifico Science Centre. It will be held Sunday, 25 April at 11:00 at Immaginario Scientifico (entrance free; lecture is in Italian).
