Professor K.R. Sreenivasan was one of the speakers at the opening ceremony of the 25th anniversary meeting which took place in Mexico City on 10-13 November. The meeting was a befitting testimony to the enormous growth of the Academy during these years, about which ICTP is justly proud. ICTP and TWAS not only share a common origin but are intertwined through the shared goal of building scientific capacity in developing countries.
