Dirac Medallist Sergio Ferrara is giving a seminar on Scherk-Schwarz and flux compactifications and their supergravity interpretation. The seminar will take place on Wednesday, 2 February, at 3.30 p.m., in Lecture Room C, ICTP Main Building.
Sergio Ferrara, staff scientist in the Theoretical Division of CERN, Geneva, Switzerland, won the ICTP Dirac Medal in 1993 for “the discovery of supergravity theory” and his “major contributions in the subsequent developments of the theory.”
