The Asian/Pacific Regional School on Electronics Structure Methods and their Applications will be held in Beijing, People's Republic of China, from 19 to 30 July. ICTP staff scientists Ralph Gebauer and Sandro Scandolo are the course directors. Yu Lu, head of the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Interdisciplinary Centre of Theoretical Studies (ICTS), will serves as the local organiser. Yu Lu headed ICTP's Condensed Matter Physics group for more than 10 years, retiring in 2002.
